PedalFest

The 5th annual PedalFest, a benefit for the children of Heartspring, is Sunday, August 24. 

AyanaJoin spokes child Ayana and many families and avid cyclists for a fun day of cycling events and activities. 

Register for the Family and Friend Ride, 50k or 100k bike tour and create your own personalized fundraising page.  Check out the great prizes you will be eligible for by raising pledges for PedalFest. 

Even if you aren’t a cyclist or don’t live near Wichita, you can still register and earn prizes as a virtual rider or by organizing a satellite ride in your home town. Visit www.pedalfest.org for more information.

Our mission, in partnership with parents, professionals and the community, is to help children with special needs grow and learn on a path to a more independent life.

Heartspring School is a residential and day program for children with developmental disabilities such as autism, Asperger Syndrome, speech and language impairments, visual impairments, deaf/hard of hearing, cerebral palsy, challenging behaviors and those with multiple disabilities.

Heartspring Pediatric Services provides therapies for children with developmental delays and disabilities.

Heartspring Hearing Center offers hearing services for people of all ages.

Volunteering is a wonderful way to learn more about Heartspring programs and services.

The 2008 Heartspring Award winners are a diverse and interesting group who come from as close as right here in Wichita to as far away as Belgium and South Africa. They are outstanding, and we enjoyed each and every one of them.

Camp SSTAR
Camp SSTAROver 55 campers participated in the first ever Camp SSTAR. They were able to create a great web site, with wonderful web pages, a camp “yearbook” with pictures taken by our own campers, a newscast, and tremendous artwork.

Andi Tatom and Attie Pelnar have been training new paraeducators for the Heartspring School for several years, but within the past year they have also started working with the Heartspring CARE Program. Working with the director, they create visual supports, teambuilding and networking workshops for families.
