5th Annual Lights on the Lake in 2008, calendar listing
Wichita, Kan. – Heartspring’s signature fundraiser and Wichita’s premiere lighting event, Lights on the Lake, celebrates its 5th anniversary in 2008. This annual event delights holiday light enthusiasts and raises money for children with special needs served by Heartspring. Please note the following dates for calendar listings:
Lights on the Lake Preview Party: November 22: Lights on the Lake Preview Party, Heartspring Conference Center – Doors open at 6:30. Enjoy food, spirits, entertainment, live and silent auctions as well as a “flip the switch” ceremony that will bring the Heartspring campus to light for the first time. Proceeds go directly to benefit the Financial Assistance Program at Heartspring Pediatric Services, which helps over 650 local children each year.
Drive Thru Dates: November 27 – December 7, Thursday – Sunday: Lights on the Lake Drive Thru open from 6-10 pm. Enjoy thousands of holiday lights, hundreds of lit candy canes, over 60 displays and our 40 foot tree in the Heartspring Lake as you help children with special needs. Donations encouraged. December 11 – 25, every night Lights on the Lake will be open as a drive through every night from 6-10 pm (weather permitting) starting December 13. Donations encouraged.
Lights on the Lake Hospitality Center: December 5-7, December 12-14, December 19-21, 6-9 pm: Located in the Heartspring Conference Center, come in from the cold and enjoy hot drinks and holiday treats in the Lights on the Lake Hospitality Center. Photos with Santa available for a $3 donation.

It has been almost 75 years since Heartspring first began its mission of helping children with disabilities achieve their full potential. Since 1934 Heartspring has been one of the nation’s top facilities serving children with special needs. Originating in Wichita, Heartspring has grown to help children across the nation and around the world.
