Walk to help families of children with autism - Autism CARE Walk April 12

Autism is the fastest-growing developmental disability in children today. It is more prevalent than Down Syndrome, childhood diabetes and childhood cancer combined. Yet autism gets less than 5% of the research funding of many less prevalent childhood diseases.

Heartspring is holding the first Autism CARE Walk on April 12th to increase awareness in Wichita. CARE stands for Community of Autism Resources and Education and any funds generated from the event will help benefit local children who are on the autism spectrum through workshops and programs offered by Heartspring.

The event includes educational booths, food vendors, and family fun! Registration is $25 and begins at 8:00 am. Walkers are encouraged to get sponsors or pledges. Participants have a choice of a one or two mile walk that travels outside the Heartspring Campus and finishes at the Heartspring Conference Center.
